Short Handed Centurions Fall to Ocean

TOMS RIVER, NJ – The valiant Lady Centurions fell against undefeated Ocean County College on Saturday afternoon by a score of 7-0.

Bucks knew they were in for a challenge from the start of the contest, playing without subs and being on the hot turf field against a quality team. Ocean relentlessly pressured the visitors the entire game and took 33 shots with 23 of them being on goal. The Centurions put forth a tremendous defense effect holding off the Vikings for a good parts of the match. Alyssa Miller had a sensation day in goal having double digit saves and keeping the host a bay.

"The ladies gave everything they had today under tough conditions" commented Head Coach, Russ Fager. Bucks started the game with 9 players due to multiple injuries.

The lose drops Bucks to 4-4 overall and 3-3 in the region.

Ocean improves to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the region.

Next up the Lady Centurions host the defending District Champions, Union County College on Tuesday, September 24th at 3:30PM.
