Lady Centurions Come Up Short in Hard Fought Effort

Lady Centurions Come Up Short in Hard Fought Effort

NEWTOWN, Pa.- The Bucks Women's Soccer team hosted County College of Morris Saturday afternoon. Defensive struggle was the only way to describe this game as each team battled for control of the opponent's zone. With only six minutes left the Titans found the net off a Rachel Stote shot assisted by Stephanie Williams. Sophomore Goal Keeper Holly Bowser (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) would allow no more for the next 51 minutes of game play. The Lady Centurion defense played their hearts out lead by Gabriella Torres (Levittown, PA/Faith Baptist Christian), Macy Moors (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) and Morgan Montgomery (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury). Bowser showed moments of pure brilliance with her shot stopping ability. She would face a penalty kick with four minutes left in the second half only to decline the Titans of putting two up on her squad. After a hard fought game the Lady Centurions just couldn't muster the tying goal despite Jenna Bertoti (Lansdale, PA/North Penn) and others efforts. Final score Morris 1, Bucks 0.

Morris improves to 2-0 overall.

Bucks drops to 1-3 overall.

Up next the Lady Centurions travel to Lackawanna College on Monday, September 11th for a match at 3:30 pm.
