Women's Soccer Tames Mustangs; Qualify for Playoffs

BLUE BELL, Pa.- The Lady Centurions traveled to Montgomery County Community College on Tuesday. The Mustangs would get on the board early when Amanda Vergara would assist Ashley Kleinert at the 13 minute mark. Brooklynn Smith fresh off being named 2nd Team All-Region would not be denied shooting in the equalizer before the half. The goal would be Smith's 15th of the season tying Jessica Williams 2012 single season record. The second half would prove to be a defensive struggle as the Lady Centurions tried frantically to be postseason eligible and the Mustangs tried equally as frantic to play spoiler and deny them the right. Sophomore Jenna Ferri would be the hero as she would score the go ahead goal off a well struck volley upper 90. Holly Bowser another 2nd Team All-Region selection would defend any would be goals for the final fifteen minutes securing victory. Final score Lady Centurions 2, Mustangs 1. 

Montgomery ends their season 3-10 overall, 1-7 in the region and 2-3 in the conference. 

Bucks ends the regular season 7-6-1 overall, 5-4-1 in the region and 2-1-1 in the conference. 

The Lady Centurions will travel to Camden County College on Saturday October 22nd for a 12:00 pm matchup with the Cougars. Bucks previously lost to Camden during the regular season 3-1 in a rainy contest back in September.
