Lady Centurions Shutout Falcons

NEWTOWN, Pa.- The Women's Soccer team hosted Lackawanna College on Wednesday. It did not take long for the Lady Centurions to find the net as Brooklynn Smith scored two minutes into the contest off a Courtney Bernhardt assist. The goal would be Smith's tenth on the season. It would become a more defensive game for a chunk of the first as many attempts on goal were thwarted by Lackawanna's goalkeep Kassidy Puckett and offside calls. Later at the thirty minute mark Cassidy Rudd scored from outside the 18 to give Bucks the 2-0 advantage. The goals would pour in from there as Bernhardt fed on an assist from Taylor Flanagan recorded her fifth of the season. Smith would cap off a hat trick with two goals within a minute span assisted by Bernhardt and Macy Moors. Just before the half Rudd would find Smith to net her fourth of the game and 13th on the season. In the second half Flanagan would net one in giving the 7-0 advantage and victory to the Lady Centurions.

Lackawanna falls to 0-9 overall and 0-6 in the region.

Bucks improves to 6-5-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the region.

The Lady Centurions host Northampton Community College on Thursday in an EPAC battle that has plenty of playoff implications, kickoff is set for 3:30pm.
