Women's Soccer Drops Heartbreaker to Ocean

Women's Soccer Drops Heartbreaker to Ocean

NEWTOWN, Pa.- The Lady Centurions played host to the Lady Vikings of Ocean County College on Thursday. In what would be a very physical matchup Ocean found the net first on a Leena Keghlian shot. Five minutes later Bucks would answer with a goal of their own off a Courtney Bernhardt follow up. It wouldn't be long after that Brooklynn Smith would provide the go-ahead goal for Bucks at 2-1. Ocean and Keghlian would refuse to back down though and would tie up the game at 2 just 21 minutes into the game. A first half full of action would go to the break tied at twos and it would not be until the 58th minute of the second half Samantha Netterman would sneak one past the Bucks defense to go up 3-2. When all was said and done the score would remain 3-2 despite the efforts of the Lady Centurions in the waning minutes trying to provide a tying goal. Holly Bowser again delivered a solid performance as she made 10 saves in goal for Bucks.

Ocean improves to 2-1-1 overall and 2-0 in region play.

Bucks falls to 0-3-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the region.

The Lady Centurions travel Saturday September 17 to Middlesex County College kickoff set for 12:00 noon.
