Lady Centurions Play to Draw

BETHLEHEM, Pa.- The Women's Soccer team opened up conference play at Northampton Community College on Tuesday. Sixteen minutes into the first half Olivia Kelly scored for the Lady Spartans unassisted. From there a defensive struggle ensued. It was not until 60 minutes into the contest Brooklynn Smith scored in the second half off a penalty kick to even the score. "We had possession for most of the game, we just couldn't finish our opportunities." stated Head Coach Matt Giordano. Holly Bowser had another standout performance in goal for the Lady Centurions coming up big in the second overtime to secure the draw. Giordano added "We're getting better every game. If we keep progressing and playing as a team we will be a real threat in the conference".

Northampton's record now stands at 1-2-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the region. 

The Lady Centurions are now 0-2-1 overall and 0-0-1 in the region. 

Bucks will return home Thursday September 15th to host Ocean County College with kickoff set for 4:00 pm.
