LADY CENTURIONS WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Program
The women's basketball program was established in 1970. Since their revitalization in 2009-10, they have had multiple players make the all-conference team and a few transfer out and continue their playing careers. The team is currently recruiting basketball players and at all experience levels to continue the teams growth. 2022 will mark the first season in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) after years in the NJCAA. Basketball is part of the Eastern States Athletic Conference (ESAC).
Basic Eligibility
Eligibility consists of the potential student-athlete having 1.) a valid physical (within the last 12 months), 2.) health insurance coverage (short term is available), 3.) being a full-time student (12 credits) during semester the season is played and 4.) your grades at Bucks and any other college analyzed by the athletic department (GPA varies on situations). A THIRD SEASON OF ELIGIBILITY NOW MAY BE PLAYED AT BUCKS. ***Basketball players must be eligible for both fall and spring semesters*
* After you compete one season, student-athletes must pass 24 credits the previous academic year (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) to be eligible for the following season. If first full-time semester was in the spring, academic year starts in the spring (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter).
Orientation
Mandatory orientation will be held in the Linksz Pavilion or maybe participated on a Zoom call for Fall 2023. Make sure you complete the student-athlete checklist and have your Eligibility Packet. An up to date physical is required before trying out.
Evaluations
Evaluations will be held starting in early October and all are invited. Open off-season workouts will be held starting in early September with times and dates TBD.
In-season Schedule:
Practices-during the week are at 5:00PM (Monday-Thursday)
Games-NORMALLY are on Tuesdays, Thursdays (at 5PM or 6PM) and Saturdays (at 12PM or 1PM)
* Do not schedule classes ending after 3:15PM on Mondays, Wednesdays and 1:30PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays.
