Women’s Basketball Fight Hard in Defeat

NEWTOWN, PA. - The Bucks women's basketball stayed close but couldn't complete the comback as they fell to visiting Rowan College South Jersey at Cumberland by a score of 49-33 at the Centurion gymnasium.

Bucks fell behind early in the game but slowly started to chip away at the lead. The Centurions cut the Dukes lead down to 7 points in fourth quarter but were unable to overtake the guests. Freshman forward, Martina Fedor (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) scored 15 points plus 10 rebounds for the game. Every starter for Bucks scored in the game.

The loss drops the Centurions to a 1-8 overall record while the Dukes improved to 3-8 overall.

The Centurions are back in action on Thursday, February 1st when they host a NJCAA, Region XIX school, Bergen County College with tip-off scheduled for 7:30pm.
