Women's Basketball: Fall short in season opener

NEWTOWN, PA: The Centurions women's basketball team fell to the Vikings of Mercer County Community College 43-69. Mercer moves to 1-2 overall and 1-1 Region XIX.

Freshman guard Anna Dean (Bensalem, PA/Bensalem) led the Centurions with 10 points. Sophomore guard Cassie Tavormina (Moorestown, NJ/Doane Academy) and freshman guard Madison Donovan (Levittown, PA/Pennsbury) contributed 9 each. Freshman forward Korin Bradley (Levittown, PA/Neshaminy) led the team with 11 rebounds (5 offensive and 6 defensive). Tavormina, Dean and Donovan added 8 rebounds each. 

The Centurions are 0-1 overall and 0-1 in NJCAA Region 19.

Up Next:

The Centurions will travel to Pemberton, NJ to face the Barons of Rowan College at Burlington County on Tuesday, November 12, 5PM. The Barons are 2-3 overall and 1-0 in Region XIX. The Barons are coming off a loss to Hpward Community College of Philadelphia 66-67.
