Baseball Splits with Union County College

CRANFORD, NJ.- The Centurion baseball team traveled to Union County College on Saturday for a doubleheader with the Owls. Game One would see Union take a commanding 12 run lead after two innings. Bucks would manage to scrap out four runs of their own but it would not be enough as the Owls took a 20-4 lead and the win. Jason Chattley would take the loss on the mound for Bucks and righfielder Phillip Krause would go 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored. Game two would be different as Ryan Tomao took the hill for the Centurions throwing 6 strikeouts and allowing 5 runs. In support Bucks bat's got hot as well. Centerfielder Luke Hendricks and third baseman Ryan Harold both went 3 for 4 at the plate, Hendricks scoring 3 and batting in 2 as Harold scored twice and batted in 2. The Centurions would secure a 17-5 victory and split they day with Union. 

Union is now 5-2 overall and 1-1 in the region. 

Bucks is now 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the region. 

The Centurions are scheduled next to host Northampton Community College on Tuesday, March 28th at 3:30 pm.
