Baseball Drops Season Opener

NEWTOWN, Pa.- The Bucks Baseball team hosted the Mechanics of Williamson College of the Trades on Thursday. Cristobal Morales got the nod for Bucks and pitched 3 innings striking out 5. An evenly matched contest would see Williamson taking a 2-0 lead in the top half of the 2nd inning. In the bottom of the second the Centurions would strike back and cut the lead in half. The Mechanics would take a commanding lead in the fourth driving in 3 runs to take the 5-1 advantage. After a scoreless two innings the Centurions would add another run in the bottom half of the sixth. In the 8th inning Williamson would secure the victory scoring two more runs but Bucks made it interesting adding 2 runs of their own.  Unfortunately for Bucks the game would be called due to darkness. Final score Williamson 7, Bucks 4. 

Williamson improves to 1-0 overall. 

Bucks falls to 0-1 overall. 

The Centurions return to action when they host Penn State Wilkes-Barre next Saturday March 18th for a doubleheader set for a 12:00 noon start.
