Volleyball Splits Tri-Match

NEWTOWN, Pa.- The Lady Centurions hosted the Hawks of Harrisburg Area Community College and the Community College of Philadelphia Colonials in tri-match volleyball action on Saturday. 

 Bucks would square off with the Colonials first and win in straight sets (25-6, 25-6, 25-12). Freshman Setter Cara Coughlin (Warminster, PA/Archbsihop Wood) would rack up 17 points delivering 20 assists, 15 service aces and 6 digs. Middle Hitter Jacqueline Schaeffer (Bensalem, PA/Archbishop Ryan) would add 7 kills and Sophomore captain Krista Hiller (Sellersville, PA/Pennridge) had 3 kills and 5 digs. 

The Lady Centurions would next face off against undefeated Harrisburg in a highly anticipated EPAC battle. Unfortunately the Hawks had Bucks number this afternoon as they would win in straight sets (15-25, 21-25, 17-25). Hiller would lead the scoring for Bucks accruing 13 points on 12 kills and 10 digs, Coughlin would add 22 assists and Schaeffer would deliver 6 kills in the loss. 

Philadelphia drops to 0-10 overall and 0-9 in the region. 

Harrisburg improves to 10-0 overall and 8-0 in the region. 

Bucks becomes 7-5 overall, 6-5 in the region and 6-3 in the conference.
