DEPTFORD, NJ.- The Women's tennis season got off and swinging as the Lady Centurions traveled to Rowan College at Gloucester County. Alice Zhang matched up with Rowan's #1 Alexis Pierce and held your own narrowly losing 6-3, 6-4. Both Kayla Middleton and Makayla Raabe had to face formidable opponents while battling fierce winds and held up well. Lolita Beylina started off slowly against Mia Forbes from Rowan and had a strong second set as she fell just short of a comeback 6-1, 6-4. Nadia Suleimanov at the 5th seed threw a 5-3 in her first set and just hung on to win a tiebreaker. The second set also went to a tiebreaker as Nadia prevailed 7-6, 7-6. 

Rowan at Gloucester improves to 1-0 overall. 

Bucks falls to 0-1 overall. 

The Lady Centurions return to the court on Saturday September 17th as they travel to Ocean County College for a 12:00 noon start.
