2019-2020 is Mr. Russell J. Fager’s 1st season as the Centurians Head Women’s Soccer Coach. Mr. Fager comes from Rider University where he coached Bronco’s for 36 years as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach and the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach for 4 years.
As the head coach, the Bronco’s qualified for two NCAA tournaments, qualified 20 times for post-season play; Awarded East Coast Conference ‘Coach of the Year’ and Mid Atlantic Region ‘Coach of the Year’, won the Northeast Conference Championship and MAAC Conference Championships, achieved national ranking of 15th in the NSCAA/Umbro Division I rankings, and had 20 of 36 teams qualify to play in conference tournaments.
Coach Fager was also the Boy’s Director of New Jersey Olympic Development for 3 years; Organizer and Director of Rider Cup Soccer Tournament; Founder and Director of Residential Summer Camps which ran for 28 years; Co-Organizer of the first Coaching License Course in Ghana, Africa where we trained more than 35 coaches a variety of coaching topics over the eight-day course; Youth Coach for several Club Organizations; Served as Assistant Coach for the Boy’s and Girl’s Program at Randolph Macon Academy.
