Lady Centurions Sophomores Honored in defeat

NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Lady Centurions lost to Ocean County College 52-78 on Saturday afternoon on Sophomore Day.

The Lady Centurions sophomores were up for the challenge of one of the regions' top schools. Although a victory would have been nice, the women's team put on a show and put pressure on the vistors scoring 52 points for the night. Sophomore set the pace for Bucks with guard, Cassie Tavormina (Moorestown, NJ/Doane Academy) scoring 25 points, forward, Korin Bradley (Levittown, PA/Neshaminy) pitched in 11 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks and forward, Vanessa Rich (Warminster, PA/Archbishop Wood) added 6 points and a team high 9 boards. The first years also made an impact with Madison Donovan (Levittown, PA/Pennsbury), Kamiah Caraway (Morrisville, PA/Morrisville) and Anna Dean (Bensalem, PA/Bensalem) each having 5 assists for the day.

"We did some wonderful things today," commented interim coach, Danielle Walter, "we limited our turnovers, shared the ball, limited our turnovers... it's nice to see us come together". The Lady Centurions had the highest assist total for the season with 17.

Bucks falls to 3-14 with the loss.

Ocean improves to 18-4 overall.

Next up the Centurions travel to play national power Lackawanna College on Monday, February 17th at 5:00PM.
