CRANFORD, NJ.- Youth and inexperience are two things that can drive a new head coach insane. But, in the case of Bucks Women's Basketball, it drives head coach Andre Bright to continue to try to change the direction of what will be a tough basketball season. Bucks women's basketball fell into a buzz saw on the road against Union County College losing 130-8. 

"I spend a lot of time trying to draw from past experiences to use as a teaching tool," said coach Bright. "But there aren't many situations that I know of that involve 122 point losses."

Despite the lopsided losses, Coach Bright continues to see positive changes that are waiting over the horizon. "I've spoken with a few high school coaches in Bucks County. They are aware of our situation and are looking forward to seeing us getting this program turned around," he said.

"When I look at our roster, I see very little basketball experience," said Coach Bright, whose team's roster is made up of players primarily from the tennis and soccer teams, and one from the volleyball team. "But the ladies on this team wanted to play and be a part of building something. This is what keeps me encouraged, especially when two schools in our Region dropped their women's basketball programs for lack of interest by their students," he concluded.

The optimism of coach Bright comes from the players faces as the game winds down. "When I look down the bench and I see my players encouraging and clapping for one another, I can't help but feel positive about the direction of the program," he said. "We will get this turned around."

The Lady Centurions were led by freshman Korin Bradley (Levittown, PA/Neshaminy) (6 points, 5 rebounds) and freshman Alena Kusnerick (Levittown, PA/Neshaminy) (2 points, 3 rebounds and 1 blocked shot).

Union improves to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the region. 

Bucks falls to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the region.
