Lady Centurions Fall in Season Opener

Lady Centurions Fall in Season Opener

BLUE BELL, Pa.- Bucks County Community College Women's Basketball opened their 2018-19 season with a loss on the road to Montgomery County Community College, 78-10.

Although the score doesn't bode well for the upcoming season, there was a  silver lining hidden within the cloud, "If there is one thing I can be happy about," said Head Coach Andre Bright, "We did a much better job of attacking the defensive glass and got more opportunities for rebounds," he concluded.

The Lady Centurions also did a good job of running their offense. Even doing an excellent job of executing their plays coming out in the second half. "Our adjustments coming out of half time were pretty good," said Bright. "Drawing up a new play, and having it executed was very encouraging."

The Lady Mustangs were held to 26 points in the second half, but poor shooting prevented the Lady Centurions from cutting into their lead.

Sophomore forward Haleigh Kaufmann (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) and Freshman forward Korin Bradley (Levittown, PA/Neshaminy) each scored 5 points to pace the Lady Centurions.

The Lady Centurions open their home schedule this Saturday, November 10th at noon against Raritan Valley Community College (1-1).
