Softball Earns Split with Ocean

TOMS RIVER, NJ.- The Lady Centurions traveled to Ocean County College on Thursday. They would earn a split on the day taking game one 9-5 and dropping game two 13-5. 

In game one Bucks would get things started going up 1-0 in the first inning. After allowing the Vikings to go up 2-1 in th third the Lady Centurions would rally in the fourth putting up 4 runs and taking the 5-2 advantage. Another three run inning in the sixth would conclude the scoring for Bucks. 

Freshman Melissa Klimowicz (Levittown, PA/Pennsbury) would go three for three at the plate scoring a run and batting in two. 

In game two Ocean would strike back delivering four runs in the bottom of the first to take a three run lead. The Vikings did not look back from there scoring at least one run the next five innings. 

Sophomore Emily Pyle (Bensalem, PA/Bensalem) would smack two hits on three at bats driving in a run. Nicole Naylor (Levittown, PA/Pennsbury) would go two for four scoring two and batting in one. 

Ocean is now 1-1 in the region and 4-8 overall. 

Bucks is now 1-1 in the region and 1-3 overall. 

Up next the Lady Centurions will travel to Montgomery County Community College on Tuesday, April 9th for a 3:30 pm doubleheader.
