Lady Centurions Earn First Victory of Season

NEWTOWN, Pa.- Bucks revival of the softball program has found their first taste of success sweeping the Trailblazers on Tuesday. The bats were hot as the Centurions took control of the game after trailing early. Maureen Wadsworth pitched both games of the doubleheader. Game 1 was won by the score of 14-6. Game 2 was mostly controlled by Bucks who carried momentum from the first game but a late rally by Luzerne forced the Lady Centurions to get a quick 3 outs and rally themselves to secure the sweep in the bottom half of the 5th. Great fielding efforts made by Emily Reinoehl and slugging prowess of Nicole Nasta were big contributing factors in Bucks' success. Final score of Game 2 Bucks 11, Luzerne 10.

Luzerne falls to 0-11 overall.

Bucks improves to 2-11 overall.

The Lady Centurions next travel to Montgomery County Community College on Saturday April 22nd at 12:00 pm in a rematch from last week which saw the Mustangs sweep the doubleheader.
