Bucks stay alive at Regionals

WEST WINDSOR, NJ - The Men's Tennis team started the Region XIX tournament today unranked but finished with 2 wins and remained in the hunt for the Regional Championship.

John Korol (Council Rock North) and Edward Siger (Central Bucks South) both defeated their opponents from Williamson Trade School and earned Bucks 2 points for the day. Both will return to play in the semifinals in singles along with Thomas Vennochi who had a first round bye. Siger and Vennochi will play doubles on Saturday as well. 

Doubles:

1st doubles – Alex Diamond and Kevin Cavalier lost to Brookdale 6-1, 6-0
2nd doubles - John Korol and Joshua Frye lost to Brookdale 6-1, 6-1
3rd doubles – Edward Siger and Thomas Vennochi (First Round Bye) *

Singles:

#1 singles – Moritz Bruenjes lost to Brandon Davis (Mercer) 6-1, 6-0
#2 singles – Alex Diamond lost to Tyler Sincoskie (Mercer) 6-0, 6-0
#3 singles – Kevin Cavalier lost to Angelo Codilla (Mercer) 6-1, 6-0
#4 singles - John Korol defeated James Dierkes (Williamson) 7-6(6), 6-1
#5 singles - Edward Siger defeated Jesse Martinez (Williamson) 6-1, 6-0
#6 singles - Thomas Vennoch (First Round Bye) *
