Ficarotta Hat-trick Leads Centurions

NEWTOWN, Pa. – Men's Soccer had to come from behind again, this time to defeat Brookdale Community College Saturday afternoon by a score of 4-1.

Brookdale struck first capitalizing on a miscue in the defense line of Bucks 14th minute. Then Centurions leading scorer, Salvatore Ficarotta (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury), caught on fire as he dribble 2 defenders and slid a shot pass the outstretched goalkeeper's reach in the 28th minute. Next Ficarotta had a give and go with freshman, Edwin Teah (Levittown, PA/Harry Truman) who blasted the shot into the net to give the Centurions the lead going into halftime. Ficarotta then added 2 more goals in the second half to cap off the win. Jon Lotrean (Warminster, PA/William Tennent) helped hold off the visitors and sophomore goalkeeper, Jorge Ramirez (Bensalem, PA/Bensalem) had 10 saves in the win.

"Jon Lotrean (Warminster, PA/William Tennent) had a great game on the defensive end." said Head Coach, Justin Burroughs, "We played with passion and our pressure worked well today".
