Centurions Strong Second Half Too Much for Spartans

BETHLEHEM, Pa.- The Men's Soccer team traveled to Northampton Community College on Saturday for a first round matchup against the Spartans. 

The 7th seeded Northampton would take a 2-0 advantage early from goals by Cesar Hernandez and Joey Jacona. But a spark was ignited in the second half as Daniel Merritt found Tyler Andre at the 64 minute mark to get the Centurions on the board and back into the game. Bucks found the equalizer ten minutes before regulation ended off the foot of Victor Molina assisted by Sean Mott. Five minutes later Bucks would silence the crowd as Merritt netted his 22nd of the season giving the Centurions the 3-2 advantage and victory.

With the loss Northampton is eliminated from the playoffs and falls to 13-3 overall. 

Bucks improves to 13-6 overall and advances in the playoffs. 

The Centurions will continue to play underdog as they travel to Rowan College at Gloucester County ranked 7th in the Nation on Tuesday October 25th at 2:30 pm.
