Men's Soccer Defeats Harrisburg; Merritt Hat Tricks

HARRISBURG, Pa.- The Centurions traveled to Harrisburg Saturday to battle the Hawks in an EPAC matchup. Harrisburg's Diego Torres wasted little time getting his team on the board forty second into the contest unassisted. Things would settle from there as Bucks found its footing in the form of Daniel Merritt who just recently was named First Team All-Conference this past Friday. Merritt would record his first at the 26th minute of the first off an assist from Serge Outtara. The goal would be his 17th of the season. A few minutes later Tyler Andre would find Merritt to put the Centurions up 2-1. Moments later Andre would get a goal of his own off an assist by Derek Czerniak making the score 3-1. A minute later the seemingly possessed Bucks squad would get their final goal when Victor Molina assisted Merritt to capture the hat trick, his third of the season. The Centurions would take the 4-1 lead into the half. If the first half was offense the second was defense as Mohamed Mohamed of Harrisburg scored a lone goal at the 72 minute mark. Final score Centurions 4, Hawks 2.

Harrisburg falls to 8-5-1 overall, 7-4-1 in the region and 6-4-1 in the conference.

Bucks improves to 11-6 overall, 10-5 in the region and 9-2 in the conference.

The Centurions will wrap up the regular season at home on Tuesday when they host Montgomery County Community College at 3:30 pm.
