Centurions Strong Second Half Busts Phantoms

NEWTOWN, Pa.- The Men's Soccer team hosted Delaware County Community College on Tuesday. The first half was evenly played as neither team could find the net on a few opportunities for both. Daniel Merritt would open up scoring in the second half delivering his 14th of the season at the 47th minute mark. Nearly five minutes later Victor Molina got in on the action with a burst of speed that helped net his 6th on the season putting Bucks up 2-0. Merritt would net in the dream crusher off a Sean Mott assist a minute later that gave the Centurions the 3-0 lead needed to secure victory. The goal would be Merritt's 15th of the season and place him in a tie for first place in the nation with Idrissa Kamara from Middlesex County College. Nate Emery of Delaware would net in a goal late but it was not enough to overcome the Centurions. The win marks Coach Burroughs 115th career victory at Bucks just recently overcoming Howard Troxell for 2nd all time. 

The Phantoms fall to 5-6 overall and 5-5 in both the region and conference. 

Bucks improves to 10-4 overall, 9-3 in the region and 8-1 in the conference. 

The Centurions next travel to EPAC rival Northampton Community College in a game with many playoff implications on Tuesday October 11th at 3:30 pm.
