Spartans Outlast Centurions

Spartans Outlast Centurions

NEWTOWN, Pa.- The Centurions played host to EPAC foes Northampton Community College on Tuesday September 13th. The Spartans came in undefeated as Bucks carried a 4-1 record. Northampton was searching for their first win against Bucks since October of 2013. It wasn't until the 17 minute mark of the first half that Northampton's Sam Gaye scored. Later Robert Bradford would add another for the Spartans putting them up 2-0 over the Centurions. Daniel Merritt scored just before the half to give Bucks new life. The second half was all physical as neither team could find the net. The Centurions had a few close calls but couldn't muster up enough in a dominate second half showing out shooting the Spartans 14 to 6. Northampton would hold on to the 2-1 lead and savor a rare victory over Bucks on the Centurions home field.

Northampton improves to 4-0 overall.

Bucks falls to 4-2 overall.

The Centurions travel to Manor College next to face the Blue Jays on Thursday September 15th, 3:30 pm kickoff.
