Centurions End Four Game Road Trip with a Win

BETHLEHEM, PA. – The Bucks Centurions Soccer team gave up the first goal 15 minutes in the first half but came back to defeat Northampton Community College by a score of 5-1 Tuesday afternoon.

Northampton capitalized on a turnover early in the half to give the home team the edge. The country's second leading scorer, Reynaldo Bonilla converted a penalty kick to tie the game a few minutes later. Super sub, Moritz Bruenjes gave the Centurions the lead when he finished a pass from Ilia Borisov in the 27th minutes. Edson Ordonez-Pena blasted a shot into the next to give Bucks a 3-1 halftime advantage. Bonilla scored twice more in the second, assisted by Patrick Klingerman, to seal the victory. "We made mistakes today," commented Coach Burroughs, "but other guys stepped up and performed. Today was certainly a team win."

Bucks goalkeeper, Nikolai Tsekirov recorded 5 saves for the game.

With the win, Bucks improves to 5-0-0 in the EPAC, 5-0-1 in Region XIX and 6-1-1 overall. Northampton drops to 2-1 in the EPAC. The Centurions return to action on Thursday, September 17th when host the 4-1 Montgomery County Community College Mustangs at 3:30PM.
