Centurions Top Manor

NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Centurions won their home opener over rival Manor College on Tuesday by a score of 5-2.

Manor pressured Bucks early in the contest but were unable to break through the back line. Bucks opened up the scoring when Reynaldo Bonilla (Neshaminy High School) recieved a pass from defender, Tyler Rost (Pennsbury High School) for the games first goal. Manor responded when Abraham Kamara chipped the ball over Bucks' first year goalkeeper, Josiah Gibboni to tie the game. After the halftime break, Bucks preceded to score four times as Bonilla added his second goal of the game and Rui Raimondo, Nursultan Tolepbergen and Edson Ordonez Pena also found the back of the net. Daniel Merritt got the win in goal.

"It was a very warm day today. Manor gave us trouble" mentioned Coach Burroughs "but the team made some adjustments at the half that made the difference. I'm proud the way we played today."

The Centurions return to action on Thursday, September 3rd when they host Delaware County Community College at 3:30PM at Bucks soccer field.
