NEWTOWN, Pa.- Bucks Baseball fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 15-6 loss to Union County College in game one on Sunday. 

Despite the loss, the Centurions did collect ten hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, the Owls had 15 hits on the way to victory.

Bucks notched three runs in the fifth inning. The offensive firepower by the Centurions was led by Harold Landman (Levittown, PA/Neshaminy), Justin Ward (Levittown, PA/Pennsbury), and Edmund Parry (Levittown, PA/Neshaminy), all driving in runs in the inning.

Danial McNamee (Southampton, PA/William Tennent) led things off on the pitcher's mound for Bucks. He allowed nine hits and seven runs over four innings, striking out two and walking one. Kevin Knapp (Sellersville, PA/Dock Mennonite Academy) and Shawn Puskar (Bensalem, PA/Bensalem)entered the game as relief, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one and one-third innings respectively.

The Centurions collected ten hits. Matthew Bound (Furlong, PA/Central Bucks East), Parry, Landman, Evan Matthews (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy), and Noah Ruiz (Warminster, PA/Upper Dublin) all collected multiple hits. 

In game two Freshman Edmund Parry (Levittown, PA/Neshaminy) would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base, driving in four on three hits to lead Bucks past Union 10-7. Parry drove in runs on a home run in the third, a triple in the fourth, and a single in the fifth.

The Centurions collected 15 hits and Union had four in the high-scoring affair.

Bucks took the lead for good with one run in the third inning as Parry hit a solo homer.

The Centurions notched three runs in the fifth inning with big bats led by a single by Parry and a double by Harold Landman (Levittown, PA/Neshaminy).

Freshman Reese Sterling (New Hope, PA/New Hope Solebury) was the winning pitcher for Bucks. He surrendered four runs on three hits over six innings, striking out seven. Parry and Kevin Knapp (Sellersville, PA/Dock Mennonite Academy) entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

William Uphoff (Bensalem, PA/Bensalem), Parry, and Landman all had multiple hits for the Centurions. Uphoff went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead the team in hits.

Union now stands at 4-8 in the region and 10-19 overall.

Bucks improves to 3-7 in the region and 8-16 overall.
