KISSIMMEE, FL.- In the first game Bucks struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Northern Essex, giving up ten runs.

After the Centurions scored two runs in the top of the fourth, the Knights answered with two of their own. Bucks scored when Edmund Parry (Levittown, PA/Neshaminy) singled on a 1-2 count. Northern Essex scored four runs in the second inning. 

Freshman Justin Ward (Levittown, PA/Pennsbury) toed the rubber for the Centurions. He allowed six hits and eight runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one. Shawn Puskar (Bensalem, PA/Bensalem) and Kevin Knapp (Sellersville, PA/Dock Mennonite Academy) entered the game as relief, throwing three and a third innings and one inning respectively.

Evan Matthews (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy), Harold Landman (Levittown, PA/Neshaminy), William Uphoff (Bensalem, PA/Bensalem), Parry, Matthew Bound (Furlong, PA/ Central Bucks East), Brendan Jordan (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy), and Paul DePompeo (Feasterville, PA/Neshaminy) each collected one hit to lead Bucks offense.

In game two the Centurions stayed in it until the end, but defending DIII National Champion, Oakton pulled away late in a 4-3 victory on Saturday afternoon. The game was tied at three with the Owls batting in the top of the seventh when Brendan Knopp singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. 

Oakton opened up scoring in the first inning, when Knopp homered on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Freshman Reese Sterling (New Hope, PA/New Hope Solebury) took the loss for Bucks, going two innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out two, and walking none.

Sophomore Danial McNamee (Southampton, PA/William Tennent) started the game for the Centurions, surrendering three runs on five hits over five innings, and striking out three. 

Ward (Levittown, PA/Pennsbury) led Bucks with two hits in three at bats.

The Owls are currently ranked third in the nation according to the latest NJCAA DIII National Baseball Poll. 

Bucks falls to 1-9 overall.
