Centurions Fall to 17th Ranked Vikings

WEST WINDSOR, NJ.- Bucks Baseball team traveled to Division II Mercer County Community College on Tuesday in a losing effort to the Vikings currently ranked 17th in the nation, 3-19.

The Centurions struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Mercer, giving up 19 runs.

Mercer scored nine runs in the sixth inning. The Viking's big inning was driven by 4 singles, 2 doubles, and an error on a ball put in play.

Jason Hughes (Warminster, PA/William Tennent) took the loss for Bucks. He lasted four innings, allowing nine hits and eight runs while striking out eight.

Edmund Parry (Levittown, PA/Neshaminy) led the Centurions with two hits in four at bats.

Mercer improves to 4-1 overall. 

Bucks drops to 1-7 overall. 

Up next the Centurions travel to Kissimmee, Florida to compete in the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational from Saturday, March 16th until Wednesday, March 20th. They will return to regional action on Saturday, March 23rd traveling to Bergen Community College for a 12:00 pm doubleheader.
