Centurions sweep Union in high scoring day

NEWTOWN, Pa. - In game one of the Sunday afternoon double header and with the score tied at 15,Manny Fernandez came to the plate and singled, scoring Tyler Watto to win the game in extra innings.

Fernandez racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Centurions. The two teams combined for 31 runs and 23 hits, including seven extra base hits.

In the second game of the double header, fans were treated to another high-scoring affair as Bucks outscored Union 17-13 in seven innings.

There were 28 hits, including nine extra base hits in the game. The game was back-and-forth heading into the third, with five lead changes.

BCCC Centurions pulled out the win thanks to a strong third inning. A steal of home by Jackson Hurlbert gave the Centurions the lead for good.

With the wins, Bucks improves its record to 7-14 overall and 3-8 in Region XIX. Union falls to 4-17 overall and 1-12 in Region XIX. Next, the Centurions travel to play Williamson Trade at 3:30pm on Monday, April 25, 2016.
