Centurions Men's Basketball Wins Conference Championship

Newtown Pa-    Since January 7th,  the Men's Basketball team has only known how to win with an impressive 10 straight regular season win steak.   On Saturday, February 25th, the Centurions hosted the Eastern States Athletic Conference Championship game at Bucks County Community College, against the very familiar opponent, the Knights of Central Penn College.    The Centurions and the Knights had met three times in regular season,  with the Centurions defeating the Knights two of the three games.  They faced off one last time to make it an even four in the championship game where the Centurions defeated the Knights by a score of 109-87.    Athletic Director, Matt Cipriano said,  " I really happy for the team and coaches.  Winning the conference championship is great for these student-athletes, our College, and our basketball program."  "We had a great turn out for the game and the fans were awesome." Cipriano stated.      The post game celebration included team hugs group photos and the ceremonial cutting down of the net by the team.    If you missed the game,  you can watch a recording of the game on the game schedule.     The Centurions will be watching the United States Collegiate Athletic Association live bid selection broadcast on Sunday, March 5th at 5:30pm, in hopes of being selected to compete  in the national championship  tournament in Richmond, Virginia.     The live bid show broadcast information is located at the following link below.
