Women's Volleyball: Struggle with Gloucester

NEWTOWN, PA: The Centurions were defeated the Roadrunners of Rowan College of South Jersey-Gloucester 0-3 with set scores of 15-25, 9-26, and 11-25.

The Centurions struggled on both sides of the court. On offense, freshman OH Katrikki Lennon (Levittown, PA/Pennsbury) led the team with 2 service aces. Sophomore MH Jacqueline Schaeffer (Bensalem, PA/Archbishop Ryan) had 3 kills. Freshman MH/S Marina Gkika (Bensalem, PA/Bensalem) and freshman MH/OPP Courtney McGurl (Dublin, PA/Pennridge) had 2 each. Defensively, freshman OH Princess Snorweah (Fairless Hills, PA/Pennsbury) and Gkika each had 4 digs.

As a team, the Centurions had 7 kills, 4 service aces, and 16 digs.

The Centurions move to 7-11 overall and 5-9 in Region 19.

Up Next:

The Centurions will remain at home for a tri-match with the Trailblazers of Luzerne County Community College and the Colts of Middlesex County College on Saturday, October 19, 12:00 PM. The Trailblazers are 3-13 overall and 3-10 in Region XIX. The Colts are 4-9 overall and 2-8 in Region XIX.
