WAYNE, PA: The Centurions defeated the Trojans of Valley Forge Military College 3-2 with set scores of 25-15, 23-25, 14-25, 26-24, and 15-10.

On offense, sophomore MH Jacqueline Schaeffer (Bensalem, PA/Archbishop Ryan) led the Centurions with 17 kills. Freshman OH/DS Samantha Pipito (Levittown, PA/Pennsbury) led the team with 6 service aces and freshman OH Katrikki Lennon (Levittown, PA/Pennsbury) and  freshman OH Veronika Cunningham (Morrisville, PA/Pennsbury) each added 4. Defensively, Lennon had a big day with 18 digs. Freshman DS Madison Donovan (Levittown, PA/Pennsbury) and freshman MH/OPP Courtney McGurl (Dublin, PA/Pennride) contibuted 11 and 9 respectively.

As a team, the Centurions had 30 kills, 20 service aces, and 48 digs.

The Centurions move to 6-10 overall and 5-8 in Region XIX.

Up Next:

The Centurions will return home to play the Colonials of the Community College of Philadelphia on Monday, October 14 7:00 PM. The Colonials are 2-13 overall.
