Women's Volleyball: Centurions win EPAC battle

NANTICOKE, PA: The Centurions defeated EPAC opponent the Trailblazers of Luzerne County Community College 3-1 with set scores of 25-14, 27-29, 25-19, and 25-15.

On offense, freshman MH Courtney McGurl (Dublin, PA/Pennridge) led the team with 8 service aces and freshman OH Ysabelle Minschwaner (Pipersville, PA/Central Bucks East) had 6. Sophomore MH Jacqueline Schaeffer (Bensalem, PA/Archbishop Ryan) led the Centurions with 8 kills while Minschwaner and freshman OH Katrikki Lennon (Levittown,PA/Pennsbury) contributed 7 respectively. Defensively, freshman S Anastasia Perez (Morrisville, PA/Pennsbury) led the team with 11 digs and Lennon added 9.

As a team, the Centurions had 33 kills, 20 service aces, and 49 digs.

The Centurions are 5-9 overall and 4-7 in Region XIX.

The Centurions will travel to Branchburg, NJ to play the GASC Lions of Raritan Valley Community College on Thursday, October 10, 6:00 PM. The Lions are 13-4
