Women's Volleyball: Fly past the Blue Jays

JENKINTOWN, PA: The Centurions women's volleyball team rebounded after losing game one to the Cougars of Lehigh Carbon County Community College in 3 sets for their first win of the season. The Centurions won in 3 straight sets winning 25-9, 25-14, and 25-11 over the Blue Jays of Manor College.

Freshman OH Princess Snorweah (Fairless Hills, PA/Pennsbury) continues to dominate in assists, leading the team with 10 aces on the day and freshman Courtney McGurl (Dublin, PA/Pennridge) adding another 7. This game it was sophomore MH Jacqueline Schaeffer (Bensalem, PA/Archbishop Ryan) leading in kills with 5 and freshman OH Celina Varian (Churchville, PA/Council Rock South) and freshaman OH Katrikki Lennon (Levittown, PA?Pennsbury) both with 4. On defense, Celina Varian contributed with 4. As a team, the Centurions had 16 service aces, 17 kills, 17 assistss, and 6 digs.

The Centurions will be back on the road at Montgomery County Community College Tuesday, September 7 at 7pm. The Mustangs are currently 5-1 overall and 4-1 in the EPAC.

The Centurions are 1-5 in EPAC and 1-4 overall.
