Newtown, PA: In the second game of today's tri-match, the Centurions took on another EPAC opponent.

The Centurions significantly improved offensively and defensively against the Mustangs of Montgomery County Community College. The Centurions were able to keep it close in every set. Centurions lost set one 19-25 and bounced right back in set two 25-16 but suffered two loses 21-25, and the fourth set 15-25. The Mustangs move to 1-1 overall and 1-1 in the EPAC.

Offensively freshman outside hitter Princess Snorweah (Fairless Hills, PA/Pennsbury) led the team with 12 assists and teammate freshman setter Anastasia Perez (Morrisville, PA/Pennsbury) provided an additional 8. Freshman middle hitter Courtney McGurl (Dublin, PA/Pennridge) continues to lead the Centurions in kills adding 7 more. Middle hitter Jacqueline Schaeffer (Bensalem, PA/Archbishop Ryan) provided 6 kills.   

Defensively, Snorweah led the team with 8 digs while McGurl added 6. Freshman defensive specialist Madison Donovan (Levittown, PA/Pennsbury) contributed with 6 more. Schaeffer contibuted with 3 blocks. The Centurions ended with a season high 24 kills, 24 assists, and 26 digs.

The Centurions are 0-3 overall and 0-2 in EPAC play. The Centurions will head to Scranton, PA Thursday, September 12 to play NJCAA Division 2 Lackawanna College for a 7:00PM start. The Falcons are 2-2 overall and 0-1 in the EPAC.
