Centurions Men's Soccer Edges Out Williamson in a Thrilling Soccer Match


In an exhilarating match on September 30, 2024, Bucks County Community College narrowly defeated Williamson with a final score of 3-2. The game, held at Bucks CCC, showcased a tale of two halves, with Bucks County dominating the first half and Williamson mounting a spirited comeback in the second.

Bucks County Community College came out strong, scoring all three of their goals in the first half. Carlos Hernandez was the standout player, netting two goals, the first at just 2:20 into the match with an assist from Michael Sayon, Jr., and another at 23:45, assisted by Aiden Perry. Perry also contributed significantly, scoring an unassisted goal at 8:30, giving Bucks County a commanding 3-0 lead at halftime.

Williamson, however, was not ready to concede. The second half saw a resurgence led by Harrison Pritt, who scored both of Williamson's goals unassisted at 48:21 and 64:44, respectively. Despite their efforts, Williamson could not find the equalizer, and the match ended 3-2 in favor of Bucks County.

Statistically, Bucks County dominated with 23 shots, 11 of which were on goal, compared to Williamson's 7 shots with 4 on goal. Williamson's goalkeeper, Aaron O'Keeffe, was kept busy, making 8 saves throughout the match. Bucks County's David Samuel, on the other hand, made 2 crucial saves to secure the win.

The match was intense, with both teams playing aggressively but fairly, as evidenced by the lack of fouls. However, Williamson received two yellow cards in the second half, one for Colin Catrombone at 83:41 and another for Harrison Pritt at 89:58.

This victory brings Head Coach Justin Burrough's Centurions record to 5-6 overall and 2-2 in their conference, while Williamson falls to 5-4-1 overall and 1-4 in conference play.
