Clark's Hat Trick Leads to Victory

NEWTOWN, Pa. – Men's Soccer scored early and often as they defeated the visiting Valley Forged Military College on Thursday, September 19th by a score of 8-0.

Bucks started off fast and controlled the entire game creating chances throughout the game. Chris Clark (Morrisville, PA/Pennsbury) scored his first of three goals only four minutes into the contest. Clark's second of the game came off of fellow sophomore, Hamzah Dabbour (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy). In the 22nd minute of the first half, Dylan Akay (Newtown, PA/Council Rock North) found a streaking Salvatore Ficarotta (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) who slid it into the net for his 9th goal of the season. Sophomore, Badr Fask (Bristol, PA/Harry Truman) added two more goals while Zachary Shefsky (Holland, PA/Council Rock South) and Conor Brady (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) added one a piece to finish the scoring. Freshman goalkeeper, Diego Bautista (Warminster, PA/William Tennant) had 3 saves in his first start in the shutout victory.

"I'm pleased we moved the ball today" stated Head Coach, Justin Burroughs, "I think our depth is a huge advantage for us with our schedule". The team will be playing their 9th game in three weeks on Saturday.

With the win, Bucks improves to 7-1 overall and 6-0 in the conference.

Valley Forge Military falls to 0-5 overall and 0-5 in the conference.

Next up the Centurions host Region XIX contest against Rowan College of South Jersey - Cumberland on Saturday, September 21st at 1:00PM.
