Merritt Hat Tricks; Centurions Dominate Trojans

WAYNE, Pa.- The Centurions visited Valley Forge Military College on Tuesday in the team's first road contest this season. Bucks started early off an unassisted goal by Daniel Merritt four minutes into the match. Shortly after Victor Molina added another off a Penalty Kick and Steven Kurtz found the back of the net off a Nikolai Tsekirov assist to put the Centurions up 3-1 at half. Three minutes into the second Joseph Essig shot in the fourth goal of the day unassisted. The Trojans would respond almost immediately with a goal of their own. Daniel Merritt was not finished though as he scored his second of the day around the 60 minute mark assisted by Tsekirov his second also. Merritt capped off the hat trick and the game with his third goal at the 80 minute mark assisted by Curtis Fuller. Final score Bucks 6, Valley Forge 2. Bucks improves to 2-0-0 for the first time since 2008. 

Valley Forge falls to 0-1-0. 

The Centurions improve to 2-0-0 as they travel back to Centurion Soccer Field to host the Colts of Middlesex County College on Thursday September 1st at 3:30 pm.
