Centurions End Season 6th in the Nation

CHAUTAUQUA, NY.- The Centurions season came to a close Friday afternoon with a sixth place finish at the NJCAA DIII National Tournament. The final round team score was 326. 

Vincennes University captured their third National Tournament team title with a final round score of 307 and a four day total of 1237. 

Individually Dan Lapp from Tompkins Cortland landed in first place with an overall tournament score of 293. 

Sophomore John Buliga (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) lead the day firing a tournament best 75 including the team's first and only eagle score of the tournament. Buliga had a four day total of 313 which included 8 birdies and 43 pars. Buliga finishes the season 13th in the nation becoming an All-American for the second year in a row. Brendan Strenge (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) continued to be red hot shooting an impressive 76 to land him 26th overall with a total tournament score of 321. Kevin Hilton (Yardley, PA) finished in 36th with a final round score of 80 and a tournament total of 326. Freshman Aaron Crosson (Hatfield, PA/Pennridge) carded a 95 in the final round landing him in a tie for 68th place overall and a total tournament score of 353. Ed Powers (Newtown, PA/North Penn) rounded out the scoring for the Centurions totaling 364 for the week and placing him in 77th overall with a final round score of 96. Overall the team scored a 1311 through four rounds. 

Overall Bucks accumulated 1 eagle, 23 birdies and 151 pars total. 

Golf's season ends with three regular season first place finishes, Runner-up honors in Region XIX and a sixth out of 12th place finish in the NJCAA DIII National Tournament.
