Centurions Improve in Second Round

CHAUTAUQUA, NY.- Making great strides individually and as a team the Centurions find themselves in 6th place after a team score of 330 on day two of the NJCAA DIII National Tournament. 

Georgia Military College is now alone atop the leaderboard improving fifteen strokes from the first round with a team total of 303. 

John Buliga (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) improved one stroke from his first round effort and scored a team best 79 moving him into a tie for 17th place individually. Buliga also added another 11 pars tying him in that stat category with number one ranked golfer Trey May from Georgia Military College. Fellow sophomore Kevin Hilton (Yardley, PA) contniued his consistencey firing an 83 as he did the previous day. Brendan Strenge (Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) took a page from Hilton's book and remained consistent carding another 84. Quietly Strenge has also amassed 19 pars in two days which is only 5 pars behind the top golfers in the tournament. Having a red hot second round Ed Powers (Newtown, PA/North Penn) who fired an 84 improved 13 strokes from day one an incredible improvement that now has him in a tie for 73rd overall. Freshman Aaron Crosson (Hatfield, PA/Pennridge) rounded out the scoring for the Centurions as he repeated his score from yesterday shooting an 86. 

Over the first two days of the tournament Bucks has scored 7 birdies and 80 total pars. 

Third Round play tees off at 9:40 am on Thursday, June 7th where Buliga will start from the tenth tee followed by Hilton at 9:48, Strenge at 9:56, Crosson at 10:04 and Powers at 10:12.
