FRANKLIN, NJ.- The Centurion golf team wrapped up their season with a fifth place finish at the Region XIX Championship Tournament at Black Bear Golf Course Tuesday. Sophomore Joseph Myers lead the team in Round 1 firing an 81 placing him fourth on the day. He would be followed by John Buliga who shot an 86, Matthew Jost with a 94 and Josh Bittner with a 102. The team would finish fifth overall in the standings for Round 1 with a score of 363 just seven strokes back of second place Morris whom they would have to overcome in order to qualify for nationals. 

A fresh start on Day 2 as the second round began would see Freshman Buliga jump nine spots shooting an outstanding six strokes better than his first round performance with an 80 placing him fourth and securing his spot individually in the NJCAA National Tournament. Sophomore Jost would finish in 20th overall improving six spots from round one with a score of 90. Freshman Bittner fired a 91 moving him from 37th to 22nd overall on day two. Rounding out the scores saw Myers shoot a 92 placing him in a tie for 24th place overall. All of Bucks' golfers would finish in the Top 25 of a 42 man field. The team would finish 2nd in Round 2 with a score of 353 a ten stroke improvement from Round 1.

A two day total of 716 would place Bucks in 3rd just five strokes back from tying second place Morris and qualifying as a team for Nationals. Buliga would secure his spot in Nationals with two day total of 166 landing him fourth overall. Along with the Nationals bid he also earned First Team All-Region for Region XIX. Myers would finish 12th overall with a two day total of 173 earning him Second Team All-Region. Jost would total 184 after two rounds finishing 24th overall and Bittner would finish 33rd overall with a 193 total. Kent Umberger capped off an impressive season and career at Harrisburg  becoming the overall medalist individually at the tournament with a two day total of 158. Harrisburg Area Community College would win the tournament with a total of 666 an impressive 45 strokes better than second place Morris.

John Buliga will now travel to Chautauqua, NY to compete in the NJCAA National Tournament from June 4th through June 9th.
