Men's Basketball: Howard and Shields lead team

Newtown, PA: The Centurions men's basketball team defeated the Blue Jay's of Manor College to secure their second region XIX victory in an exciting defensive battle. Both halves were close with the Blue Jays up by two 33-35 but in the end it was the Centurions pulling 6off the victory 67-66.

Freshman forwardsKeith Howard (Feasterville, PA/Bensalem) and Kristopher Shields (Bensalem, PA/Bensalem) led the team with 13 points each and 6 defensive rebounds. Freshman guard Aaron Smith (Burlington, NJ/Burlington County Inst. Tech) contributed another 12 points to the cause.  

The Centurions move to 3-3 overall and 2-3 in NJCAA Region 19.  

Up Next: 

The Centurions will remain at home to play the Knights of Central Penn College on Tuesday, December 5 at 7pm. The Knights are members of the U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA Division II) and are currently 3-3.
