Centurions Upset Blazers in OT Thriller

NEWTOWN, Pa.- The Men's Basketball team hosted the Trailblazers of Luzerne County Community College on Saturday afternoon. The Centurions would play a solid first half outscoring Luzerne 42-38 but as previous games have shown this season, this one was bound to come down to the final minutes. Somah Slewion lead the team in points scoring 26 followed closely behind in an amazing team effort by Kevin Raymond with 19 and Jeremiah Alston with 21 as well. Tom Doyle again impressed coming off the bench to net 14 points of his own. In a contest controlled by Bucks for the most part Luzerne found a way to tie the game at 87 just as time ran out. In dramatic fashion the game would go into overtime where the Centurions flexed some muscle and gained a 4 point advantage on their opponent. Final score Bucks 99, Luzerne 95.

Luzerne falls to 7-14 overall, 5-10 in the region and 4-8 in the conference.

Bucks improves to 4-12 overall, 4-10 in the region and 4-9 in the conference.

The Centurions next travel to Delaware County Community College on Tuesday January 24th for a 8:00 pm tip-off at Widener University Campus Gymnasium.
